Near East University
Near East University (NEU) in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, founded in 1988, is one of the major and most highly regarded educational institutions of the Asian and European region. Already gaining a well deserved international identity, NEU offers a world-class education along with several academic and social opportunities to around 24,000 students coming from over 65 countries. Built with a steer sense of aesthetic design, the modern campus of NEU comprises of 17 Faculties, 92 Departments, 5 Graduate, 4 Vocational Schools and 28 Research Centers.
NEU is the only unrivaled academic institution in Northern Cyprus to offer an education in Dentistry and Medicine, and the only university of the Asian and European region that provides a wide range of training and research opportunities at its hospitals, both accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) for clinical excellence.
The Near East University is a full member of the European University Association (EUA), of the International Association of Universities (IAU) within the body of UNESCO, IGIP and Joint Commission International (JCI), the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) and Higher Education Commission (HEC).
